Ambassador Ambition – Design

Ambition originally debuted in 1999, but you wouldn’t know that walking around the ship. She joined the Ambassador fleet in 2023 after an extensive refurbishment and her Godmother is double Olympic Gold medallist Shirley Robertson.

Inside and out Ambition is a contemporary and intimate feeling ship, with UK flair. Whether that’s the main atrium or one of the many bars on board taking inspiration from,  and showcasing the ships various home ports. Whether that’s the Cavern lounge featuring cabaret and entertainment, the Clifton Lounge (a proper space to people watch and enjoy a good cocktail!), the elegant Pendennis bar (which also features Karaoke), and my favourite bar on board, The Angel Bar which overlooks the atrium. There are also a number of shops on board featuring destination focussed apparel, cruise line souvenirs, toiletries and duty free.

Around the atrium you’ll also find guest services and a large shore excursion area. You can book shore excursions via the on board app, large interactive screens or of course the very helpful staff on board.  Overall, I found the crew to be so very helpful this whole cruise, with quite an impressive level of proactiveness.

Up on the lido deck, there are two pools, one of which is a thallasotherapy pool, together with a couple of hot tubs. There is also a splash pool up on the sun deck. You’ll also find plenty of bars and seating up here to watch the world go by. It was a great space to wrap up, grab a chair and enjoy a cocktail for sail away on our wintery itinerary.
