Just as Celebrity Edge starts to come to life in France, marked last week by the first keel blocks being put into place, across the pond in New York Celebrity Cruises has revealed one of the iconic areas to be found on board.
Eden is a three deck venue at the after of the ship, with 7,000 square feet of glass overlooking the wake of the ship. Not dissimilar to the Two70 venue found on some Royal Caribbean ships, but with Celebrity flair, the venue will evolve and transform across the day to suit passengers wants and needs.
The venue will invite passengers to chill during the morning, where they can relax, enjoy a coffee and take in the world from the many nooks and crannies of the room. In the afternoon it becomes more playful, with cocktail and culinary seminars and tastings. Whilst in the evenings the venue tempts you to be sinful, with Eve at Eden. The experience will mix performance art, culinary exploration and nightlife to indulge guests at the Eden Restaurant.
The night will end with passengers being tempted up stairs past the Tree of Life – inspired by the living tree installations found on Solstice Class ship Atriums – to the Eden Bar. A library wall of plants will tower 18-feet above the bar, perfect for garnishing the artisanal cocktails that will be on offer.
The design of Eden is inspired by the golden spiral found in nature, the Fibonacci Sequence. It is brought to life through the architecture of the room, including a 90-metre ramp that envelopes the space encouraging guests to meander through a serpentine journey of discovery.
Celebrity Edge will debut in December 2018 from her homeport of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She will offer 7-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries.
I’ll be joining Celebrity Edge for a 7-night western Caribbean cruise shortly after she debuts and I cannot wait to experience Eden, perhaps even being a little sinful.
