Another area that I actively seek when cruising is the overall wellbeing experience on board. And don’t worry, Disney Wish has you covered. Let’s take a look.
Senses Spa and The Rainforest
Let’s start with the Senses Spa. I think this is the largest spa complex I’ve seen on any ship, with a variety of treatments offered, large changing rooms, relaxation spaces and other services – there’s plenty of space and choice for adults to relax and unwind.
Right at the front of the ship, you will find the real gem of this space, The Rainforest. This is the thermal suite on board, and for a fee features lots of heating beds, hanging seating and running water. You have a choice of saunas too so you could easily spend a day here enjoying the facilities. However, that’s not all. On top of this, there is also an outside space situated within the bow of the ship which features two Jacuzzis, and a variety of seating including day beds and hanging beds. I’ve never seen anything quite like it at sea – the photos below don’t do the size of this space justice. You can choose to pay for a cruise-long pass or a day pass (which will cost $79 I understand).
Just above the Spa you will also find a well proportioned gym with state-of-the-art machines, fitness classes and personalised service. It’s situated just off the promenade allowing you to easily take your exercise outside.
Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery
Not far from the Grand Hall you will also find the Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery. In the Untangled Salon, you can literally let your hair down and enjoy haircuts, styling and other services including manicures, pedicures, teeth whitening and skin treatments. This space is fit for a princess, with its chic and high-end interior design.
At Hook’s Barbery, you can expect cuts, shaves, nail and skin case. This is a moody space with dark woods, leather and ornate features and fixings. If you’re lucky, you will even see Tinker Bell being playful as she jumps from one light fixture to another. But that’s not all, Hook’s Barbery will also feature a hidden bar with pre-Prohibition bourbons, vintage whisky and port, aged rum and premium spirits that will be a liquor enthusiast’s paradise.
This is all really the tip of the iceberg, there’s so much to offer on board Disney Wish to allow yourself to relax and indulge in wellbeing – whether that’s sitting in one of the many quiet areas taking in the view, enjoying a good book in a lounge, or just enjoying the convival atmosphere found on board.
