low_1425413887_Anthem-of-the-Seas-MG--9771With Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Anthem of the Seas, debuting in April 2015 now is a good time to look at what the UK public have got to look forward to.  Anthem will build on the success of the Quantum Class of Ships, and will no doubt have a few new features up her sleeve as well.

Here’s my top five things to do on board:

  1. 16116750841_63be687586_zTake in the view – Anthem, like her sister, has a North Star capsule.  A ‘London Eye’ style viewing platform that affords unique 300ft views from the ship.  Similarly, Two70 gives you a 360 degree view from the aft of the ship, acting as a beautiful living room during the day and transforming into an amazing entertainment venue at night. Both are a must whilst on board.
  2. Be entertained – Anthem will debut another world class West End show, We Will Rock You when she debuts next month.  To complement this, Two70 will also offer a new show called Spectra’s Cabaret, described as a “multi-dimensional cabaret where you will be transformed into invisible realms”.
  3. Dine dynamically – Anthem will be the second ship to fully offer Dynamic Dining on board.  This concept allows people to choose when to dine and between a variety of complementary and for-fee restaurants across the ship.  I fully recommend trying out Wonderland, a restaurant which “features a variety of flavours, textures, temperatures and portion sizes, each presented in a non-traditional, progressive and creative fashion”.  Finally, don’t miss out on trying a signature Kummelweck sandwich available from 16093411856_08234d93b2_zCafe@Two70.
  4. Experience the ship – The Quantum class is full of very well designed and appointed spaces.  Stroll through The Via, take in the view in Two70 or experience the sights and sounds of the Royal Esplanade. The ship also boasts a multi-million pound art collection, which will be crowned with a special animal installation on the top deck, much like the beloved ‘Felicia’ the bear on board Quantum of the Seas. seaplex
  5. Let out your inner child – Finally, have some fun!  Try your hand at sky diving with Ripcord by iFly, or experience some of the staple Royal Caribbean activities such as surfing on the Flowrider or the rock climbing wall. Another new venue for the class is SeaPlex, a multi-purpose venue which allows you to have all experiences the funfair through bumper cars, or roller skating, or equally why not try circus skills? Wherever you look there will always be fun activities to take part in.
