Norwegian Encore has a mind-boggling array of activities on board. Where do I even start?
Racetrack
Making a return to Encore is the amazing go kart track. It has been enlarged making it the biggest go karting track at sea (though all the others are on board other Norwegian ships). Whether you have go karted before or not, it’s immense amounts of fun to try. Now it’s been enlarged there’s an even better viewing area to watch everyone race as well. Ten laps around the track costs $15. Or you can purchase an unlimited go-karting package for $199 per cruise.
Laser Tag
Another activity making a triumphant return is Laser Tag. Relocated to the aft of the ship, this has been significantly enlarged and enhanced. Venture to the lost city of Atlantis and face off against your opponents, together with other monsters thanks to augmented reality. This is by far my favourite activity on board, it is so much fun. It costs $9.95 for one 10-minute session, or you can buy an unlimited laser tag pass for $199 for an entire one-week sailing.
Galaxy Pavilion
Encore is the second ship in the fleet to feature Galaxy Pavilion. This is a playground for kids and kids at heart. This 10,000 sq. Ft complex features a shed load of virtual reality games and activities. From 4D interactive cinemas, to virtual reality mazes, and everything in between. Or why not challenge your friends to a virtual reality F1 tournament. So. Much. Fun. Ninety minutes of unlimited play costs $29, or you can purchase a $199 unlimited pass that lasts the entire cruise (although this is currently being reviewed).
Water Slides
Fancy getting a bit wet? Then you must try out the waterslides found on board. Firstly, there is the Ocean Loops. This slide is suspended over the side of the ship 159 feet above the ocean. Or why not try the Aqua Racer, a tandem multi-storey slide you can enjoy with others.
