The most instagrammable places on Disney Wish

If you are looking for the most Instagrammable spots on Disney Cruise Line and their newest ship, Disney Wish, then look no further.

Here’s our guide to our six best photo spots on board. Come on, let’s fill your feed with some Disney magic at sea.

  1.  The Mickey Funnel
  2. Character meet and greets
  3. Grand Hall
  4. Quiet Cove
  5. Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge
  6. Promenade and bow

While this article is primarily focussed on Disney Wish, I have included similar suggestions for instagrammable spots and opportunities on all ships in the Disney fleet.

The Mickey Funnel

Arguably, the most iconic spot on any Disney Cruise Line ship is of course the funnels. Disney ships evoke the golden age of the liner, especially with their iconic dual funnels – and of course with the mickey mouse emblem adoring each one, you must take a selfie when you get on board!

You can, and must, enjoy this moment every time you board any Disney ship!  You’re on holiday!

The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall Space is the heart of the ship and is the centrepiece of activity on board.  So, get your glad rags on and make sure you get a picture with Cinderalla and her glass slipper at the bottom of the grand staircase, or from one of the many viewing points.  It’s truly photogenic.

Again, each Disney ship features a similar focal atrium, each with its own style and Disney characters – so make sure you grab that snap.

Character meet and greets

A staple of any Disney experience is having your photo taken with various Disney characters – whether that’s classic Disney characters, Disney Princesses, Marvel characters or even Star Wars.  So, keep an eye out for the time and location to capture that moment with them.

This is available on every Disney ship, with special days dedicated to certain genres.

The Quiet Cove

This is an adults-only space found on Disney Wish right at the aft overlooking the wake.  This space could have been taken straight of out somewhere like Mykonos or St. Tropez, so it’s very photogenic, but with the view and that infinity pool, a selfie or two is a must.

All Disney ships feature Quiet Cove areas of different sizes and locations.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge

The Hyperspace Lounge is unique to Disney Wish, and well the Galaxy!  Be ready to be transported to a far-off planet to enjoy galactic libations served in truly unique ways.  All I’ll say is, make sure you come with your camera fully charged!

Promenade and bow

All Disney ships feature a wrap-around promenade to enjoy those horizon views, but it truly is magical at sunrise and sunset.  On Disney Wish, this is taken to the next level as you can walk right up to the bow for that iconic ‘Jack and Rose’ moment as you sail to your next destination.

The Rose

Not only is The Rose, and associated speciality restaurants, stunning with some of the best views out from Disney Wish, the drinks are equally as fantastical and perfect for a photo moment or two – or why not just enjoy some company and take in the atmosphere.  This whole space is themed after Beauty and the Beast, with subtle nods to the story wherever you look – it’s beautiful.

And of course, you can’t take a selfie of the ship without having one WITH the ship!

Instagrammable spaces can be found everywhere you look and Disney Wish is full of moments and experiences to be discovered – whether that’s cleverly themed spaces, experiential drinks or activities the way Disney can only to.  Where would you start?
