What is the cruise show?
The cruise show is an exhibition that takes places in Birmingham and London each year and is devoted to everything cruising.
I have been visiting the cruise show for a number of years and I always find it to be an informative and exciting day out. It genuinely has something for everyone, including those new to cruising as well as seasoned cruisers.
When does it take place?
The Cruise Show takes place at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham on 16 and 17 September 2017, as well as at London Olympia exhibition centre on 17 – 18 February 2018.

Why should you visit?
It’s free
Yes that’s right, for the first time the show will be free for all visitors. This is a great move forward and will open up the show to a wider variety of people, particularly those who are maybe unsure about cruising or are overwhelmed by the sheer options in terms of destinations or cruise lines.

Comprehensive
The show is a great opportunity to get a flavour of the various options when booking a cruise. Broadly speaking all the major lines will be represented on way or another, so it’s a great way to compare them all. In addition to this you will also find a variety of other exhibitors including destinations, magazines and tour companies to name but a few.
For this year the Show is also introducing a new app, aimed to help simplify your day. It will provide a handy guide to what’s on during the day, exclusive offers, where to find the various exhibitors, as well as acting a as a virtual ticket to gain fast track entry to the show.
Informative
One of the best parts of the Cruise Show that I’ve found is the variety of talks and debates across the day. Major cruise lines and a number of industry experts take part in informative and eye-opening debates and talks on all aspects of cruising. This is a great way to dispel the myths about cruising as well as learning useful insider tips. Not to be missed!

Find your inspiration
In an age which is dominated by the internet it can be difficult sometimes to make informed choices. The cruise show is a great way to meet people face-to-face and discuss in person what you want to get out of a holiday and take inspiration from the variety of destinations and types of cruises on offer. There will no doubt be options you may not have considered.
Exclusive offers
The cruise show has always been a great opportunity to grab a deal. Most lines and exhibitors have exclusive show discounts, including for cruise fares, on board credit, free room upgrades, as well as other offers. It is also a great opportunity to compare and contrast these offers between lines to find the best deal for you and book your perfect holiday on the spot.
